THE OPPORTUNITY: AMS is searching for an exceptionally well-qualified Chief Financial Officer. This role constitutes the top financial position for the company and reports directly to the President. We are seeking a candidate to fill this role long-term by assisting business growth as well as evolving systems and processes.


  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar financial degree
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of professional accounting experience
  • Minimum of 5 years in an executive operations role
  • Experience in management and leadership roles
  • CPA a plus but not required
  • Experience reviewing, executing, and maintaining government contracts or grants
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships
  • Strong communication skills and a team player
  • Proven organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Self-starter, highly motivated, and executive presence


  • Identify and implement overall growth initiatives, serve as liaison for financial and operating activities
  • Oversee accounting department and ensure accurate record keeping and reporting
  • Project and supervise acquisitions, potential expansion, or business development prospects
  • Effectively align capital reserves and invest company funds
  • Monitor legal and industry regulatory compliance
  • Present monthly financial statements to President and company leaders
  • Oversee and evolve appropriate systems of internal controls
  • Utilize financial expertise to analyze and improve organizational processes to increase, productivity, efficiency, and technological advancement
  • Develop budgets/forecasts and provide oversight of company revenue measures, expenses and variance analyses
  • Maintain banking relationships and oversee cash management
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting and tax filings
  • Coordinate with external CPA
  • Maintain a professional and orderly appearance and demeanor
